It would be nice if they quit [drastically] changing the rules every six months, handcuffing good, emerging players and making the game LESS competitive.

Looks a lot like paddleball. Tennis clubs in the NE had paddleball courts, and it was played in the winter, because you could sweep the snow off the smaller court and you could play in bulky winter clothing.
Millennials always think they are a inventing something new, like homemade pickles.

In other words, it’s a cross between tennis and pong-pong.
Very informative. Thank you.
I had no idea. But no, I’m not gonna ramble about how I don’t care, I hate sports, I boycotted the NFL since 1492, I never owned a TV, I never drank Bud Light, the good guy who wounded the perp should have spent more time at the range, and….

It’s tennis wiffle ball. Fun to play? Yes, it is. A fad? Likely.

I’d be more of a fan of the sport if, like table tennis, the racket would allow one to impart more spin on the ball.
But as it stands, the racket is a smooth, hard surface. So no real spin, and no sweet spot per se to give that wonderful feeling of a properly hit baseball/softball, tennis ball, golf ball, and maybe especially, volleyball.

“Looks a lot like paddleball.”
It’s called “Platform Tennis” at the Bronxville Field Club.
Best played on a fenced in, raised aluminum platform court, heated just so for the mucky mucks.

This country is aging and this game gives elderly people a decent activity to do that’s also social and not physically taxing. I think it’s here to stay.

We have a blast playing this as a family. The Mrs. and I are also now finding friends our age that play, and look forward to it. It’s a good time.
