There are a lot of people in the Black community who are hard working Americans. I think it's important that we recognize that. And call out bad actors who are hurting the Black community. Chris Rock did that before he became woke. Bill Cosby did the same before we found out the truth about him.
Using your argument, we would say that Clarence Thomas is no good because he's a member of the Black community. That's not going to bring Blacks to the Republican Party who are dissatisfied with the Democratic Party. Right now, there's an opening with Donald Trump. Several Black Rappers like Trump. They're unhappy with Biden. They're saying in the media "I'm voting for Trump". Previously, that was unheard of.

How is Clarence Thomas viewed by the Black community at large? Is he celebrated? Held up as a shining example of the possibilities in America?
We both know the answer to that. Are there Black folks who are amazing, upstanding citizens? Of course, millions of them. I would gladly live surrounded by Black folks who share my values and political beliefs as opposed to White liberals.
My problem isn’t with individual Black people but rather with the culture of the community as a whole. To ignore or somehow insinuate that it’s inappropriate to point out the very real fact that Black men, especially young Black men seem to be prone to violent criminal behavior is naive.
I live near Tallahassee, Florida and work in the City. I constantly witness young Black Men and Women who are attending FAMU complaining about their lot in life and blaming it on racism, as I watch the White kids in surrounding rural counties fall further and further behind. I can guarantee you that very few people in DC care anything about those kids.
