I have that recorded and think he was far more bizarre than thought. Legend has it W.C. Fields scattered his fortune across secure bank accounts throughout the U.S. meaning to collect them upon retiring - but death caught him without heirs and the money is still out there...collecting interest all this time.
While fairly certain many of those banks managed to steal a lot there may be a big chunk left about.
