I keep my eye out for the old crt tv’s that folks put outside their homes with “free” sign on them. Have been using one for 3 years now and have another as backup incase the one we use goes down. Yep, it’s heavy as a drunken elephant, but it’s free, works very well, and meets our modest wants. We aren’t interested in c9nnecting our TV to streaming services- but with the price of cable, 8 might just have to keep an eye out for flat screen tvs on people’s lawns with free signs on them and make sure they aren’t “smart tv’s”-

If you want to stream you will need a smart TV or connect using a smart device.
