Relatives of a second gunman charged with murder over the Kansas City Super Bowl parade set up two fundraisers for ‘hospital bills’, as he is pictured for the first time.
Jamie Batres, 39, launched a cash appeal on Classful to get her to and from the hospital to visit her son, alleged killer Dominic Miller, 18, along with two photos of him lying seriously ill in his hospital bed.
Miller’s sister, Haylee Scott, 22, also set up a GoFundMe begging for help with hospital bills as ‘times would be tough’. It raised $85 before it was removed.
Family of Lyndell Mays, the other adult charged, also set up a page on the same site, although that has also now been disabled. Mays, 23, is now out of the hospital.
He was among those injured at the February 14 celebration when he was shot once in the stomach. He underwent surgery at University Health Truman Medical Center.
Batres, who received no donations towards her $1,000 goal, described her son as ‘fighting for his life’ in the initial aftermath of the shooting, but prosecutors deemed him well enough to be charged in connection with the horrific bloodbath.
She wrote on Classful: ‘Kansas City Chiefs victim 18 years old fighting for his life. Mother is from Wichita Kansas and needs help with a hotel, food, transportation to get back and forth to the hospital.
‘He is still in ICU fighting for his life.’
Miller’s grandfather Donald Trent confirmed to DailyMail.com that he remains in the hospital after being shot once in the abdomen.
He said: ‘He’s up and walking around, he’s doing well after he had surgery. We don’t want to comment any further as it’s an ongoing investigation.’

The minute he was arrested his medical bill went to the state/city.

The case is going to be very interesting. The guy tackled with an assault weapon is seen in a video obtained by TMZ as innocent bystanders are filming themselves. You see another guy reach into his jacket like he is going to pull out a gun.
At what point is it self defense? And who gets the self defense excuse?
And what happens in Missouri if you are in the public and use a gun for self defense and innocent people are hurt

The mayor of Kansas City is upset because the governor called the gunmen who shot 22 people and killed one “thugs.” The mayor isn’t upset that thugs shot children. He’s not upset that the thugs killed a mother. The mayor be upset because someone called a thug a thug.
