FEMA has a database. A few months into Covid, I talked with a friend who’s husband works for FEMA and he was busy tracking down and compiling names of the vaccinated.

That’s great.

I can’t recall if my Ophthalmologist asked the last time, but, I know they did at one previous appt.

I think many docs have given up asking....thankfully.

Wait, what? The FORCE you to take Medicare? Even if you are covered by an employer for a standard health plan?

Generally yes, but their are a few exceptions. As a previous poster mentioned there is info at the Medicare site. Your company's HR department should tell you what you have to do when closing in on 65 and continue to work with their group policy health coverage.

Yup, when I turned 65 I had to partly because our insurance, Excellus, dropped my coverage like a hot potato.

If you are not yet Medicare mandatory, and have good health insurance, get done any procedure you need BEFORE going on Medicare.

Stuff like cataract surgery, perhaps carpal tunnel or trigger finger, if that's a need. Get any dental work done if you have coverage. Do eye exams and get new glasses. Make sure you are as filled up with prescriptions as possible because Medicare prescription coverage ROTS.

Besides, between the affirmative action medical schools and resources being used up by illegals, medical care is going to continue to deteriorate and eventually be unavailable.

It’s horrible, but yes our POS government FORCES you to sign up for medicare at 65 or 66 I forget exactly , otherwise if you don’t do it then and need it or sign up later you are penalized with a MONTHLY FEE FOR LIFE (money you COULD be using for actual effective care of your choice!!)

Looks like you might be mistaken? Or does this not align with your experience?

Employer-Sponsored Plans:
If you work for an employer with a large health plan, they cannot force you to get Medicare at age 65. The exception is for people with end-stage renal disease who can be required to get Medicare.
Employees with access to large employer-sponsored plans have the choice to enroll in Medicare but are not obligated to do so.

Private Coverage and Historical Context: The system’s setup may have originated to facilitate seniors’ enrollment in Medicare when private coverage was less common. Over time, private coverage has become more widespread, but the policy remains in place.
In summary, while not mandatory, many individuals choose to enroll in Medicare at age 65 to access essential healthcare coverage. It’s essential to understand your options and timing to avoid penalties or gaps in coverage

I intend to work past 65, I need to know how to deal with this while having employer coverage.

You can sign up for part A now and wait to sign up for Part B when you stop private coverage. Then make the decision as to what plan, that's the hard part.

“Illinois has been tracking immunizations since 2004.”

I think most states do. What is new is the CDC poking around.

I am a doctor, you are correct, there's no way for them to know someone's vaccination status unless it is coded by office staff as part of a visit.

Thanks. Also I’d think the HIPPA law would shield any disclosure.

Guess I should’ve lied when I saw my new PCP last week. Too late now.

I’ve been on Medicare with supplemental 4 years and have never been given any questionnaire.

Yes, if you’re on a qualified employer-sponsored plan you can ignore Medicare sign up at 65 with no future penalties.

i’m marked down as not-vaxed; various doctors kept bugging me about various vaxes and i finally told them one of my other medical doctors, an internist, recommended that i should never receive another vaccination because of various medical conditions, which is actually the truth: i did receive such a recommendation ...

doctors are loath to contradict another doctor, so they marked that information in my EPIC database, and no doctor who has access to that information ever bugged me again about vaccinations ... so for what it’s worth, i assume the Deep State has that information: the sick joke called HIPPA was 100% thrown out the door during the fake covid “crisis” (not that HIPPA has ever stopped the Deep State anyway)

“I intend to work past 65, I need to know how to deal with this while having employer coverage.”

this is VERY important decision: its financial impacts are irreversible if you make the wrong decision: i strongly advise you to seek out reputable consultation and/or do a deep dive in the rules listed on the gov medicare site ... i wouldn’t take medical/financial advice on this site for a mosquito bite, much less something as important as medicare signup rules ...

I think we all still underestimate the amount of snooping and tracking they do on us.

When someone thinks there is no way they would know these things they soon find out how wrong they were to think that.

Right, so they have the names of vaccinated through FEMA and the names of unvaccinated who go to the doctor and report themselves.

They don’t have the names of those of us who are unvaccinated and didn’t go to the doctor.

As a military retiree, both the VA and the military treatment facility knows I am not vaccinated with the poison. However, I don’t really care even knowing that eventually I’m sure they will punish those who haven’t with denial of service(s).
