Coach of Vermont school banned for forfeiting game over transgender player defends action
The coach of a Vermont high school girls basketball team that was banned from state athletics after forfeiting a game against a squad with a trans player defended the decision — stressing the danger of a biological male playing against girls.
“I’ve got four daughters. I’ve coached them all at one point in their careers playing high school basketball,” Chris Goodwin, coach of the girls’ team at the Mid-Vermont Christian School, said Monday on “Fox & Friends.”
“I’ve also filled in for the boys’ coach when he can’t make a practice, and I run those practices, and boys just play at a different speed, a different force … than the girls play. It’s a different game,” he said, adding that it would be “irresponsible” and “asking for an injury” to a smaller female athlete.

Title IX was created to insure that girls/women/biological females would have a guaranteed place to participate in special extra-curricular activities — chiefly sports. Activists were all over making sure that this happened at every school possible.
Now in just 2-ish years, a new set of activists are trying to completely undo this, undermining the very reasons for that law’s existence: the chance to compete, along with chances to compete fairly, safely, and on a level playing field.
Could he sue in Federal court claiming a Title IX violation?

It’s cheating and dangerous. I read about ref’s in rugby (UK) quitting being a ref because they were tired of ‘trans women’ breaking BONES of opponents in women’s leagues.

This would not be an issue if the Parents in these schools would pull their kids (at least the girls) in protest.
That policy would change lightning fast.

Pretty sad state of affairs when a male steps up to defend teenage girls and he actually gets in trouble for it.

The fact that the coach was banned should tell you that pulling the girls wouldn’t change a thing. The girls would then be banned from basketball scholarships. Why do you think these trans are playing girls basketball? To get scholarships.
Perhaps the best way to deal with these trans is to ignore them. Don’t guard them. Let them shoot with impunity. Why, even if you get the ball, pass it to the tranny and let him dribble all the way to the basket.
