It’s really odd. We fought a war to get rid of royalty. Then a large portion of our population fawns over them.
What really gets me are fake royalty. At least Harry is a real prince (which is worth nothing).
But Germany, France, and Italy got rid of their royalty many years ago. Yet we have people running around calling themselves Italian counts or whatever, just because their great-grandfather once was one. And folks actually address them by their dead titles.
