As I look at buying a new car in the next few years, i am seriously considering buying a hybrid.
IMHO, plug-in electric hybrids are the way to go. 31 miles on a charge covers most people's daily commute, and a conventional gas engine to for everything else.
Also, Toyota makes a very fine Turbo Hybrid engine these days. That will be my next purchase, in about 10 years.
