Then she didn’t surpass Maravich’s record.

LOLZ! What an ignorant comparison!
If Pistol Pete had played against women, his scoring record would NEVER be broken! Misogynist much?!?

What is it that really gets my Goat?
Pete Maravich was a great player.
Clark is a dominant player, but is she really great?

Neither! What really pisses me off is that she is getting paid.
The NCAA has chosen PRO and discarded, no ended, amateur status in sports.

Why kid ourselves. The only amateurs competing in sports are in high school.
AND THEY ARE THE NEXT VICTIMS!
PRO, you are paid. Amateur, you are not paid.
If a player is good enough to be paid, let him be named, “ PROFESSIONAL.”

The NCAA, is the evil in the balance.

But, if he or she is not able to do so, remain in AMATEUR status.

I’m in NW Arkansas, and worked for a company based in Columbus for 40 years. When the bigwigs visited our facilities, we referred to them as the Columbians! Nothing I enjoy more than seeing OSU get their a***s handed to them!

If all the schools are making money and Nick Saban made $11.7 million last year, then yes, the players need to get paid.

“The Iowa star holds the record in both men’s and women’s Division I basketball.”

No she doesn’t. She doesn’t play against men. Since when can you hold a record for a thing you’ve never done?

Could be, but also because of her skin color. Also, that she was cut from her high school team I learned.

“The average height of a WNBA player is 6 ft 6.5 in.”

And that will create a problem for her. They can post her up against a forward or post player and about all she can do is get called for fouls. She’ll need offside help. Defensive problem. She doesn’t appear to be very aggressive with her defence as she has averaged around 2 personals a game in the NCAA. She is also averaging around 4.5 turnovers a game. That may increase with the better level defensive players.

The average height of a guard in the WNBA is almost 6” 1”. She may be able to hold her own with that, especially with her weight and body shape. But she will get picked off and be forced to guard bigger opponents with her average height as the womens’ game is played a lot in the paint with rebounding and put backs. May be interesting.

She’s done great, and deserves the attention.

Despite being born without a left coronary artery, it was a miracle he even made it to 40.

And didn’t have a three-point shot, nor as long a season. Taking nothing from Caitlan’s accomplishments, but there should be an asterisk.

I’ve heard in baseball that the all-time record for home runs is over 800 home runs set by a player in Japan.

Is it significant that someone in Japanese baseball has hit more home runs than anyone ever has in Major League Baseball?

Sudaharu Oh was a great home-run hitter, a great ball player period, but he spent his entire career in Japanese ball. Who knows what he would have done if he came over and played in major league ball? But he played long before Ichiro and Shohei Ohtani....
