France has become the first country in the world to make abortion a guaranteed right for women in its constitution.
The bill was approved in an overwhelming 780-72 vote, and nearly the entire joint session stood in a long-standing ovation during the historic joint session of the lower and upper houses of the French parliament at the Palace of Versailles.
There were jubilant scenes of celebration all over France as women's rights activists hailed the measure promised by President Emmanuel Macron following a rollback of abortion rights in court rulings in the United States.
Abortion rights activists gathered in central Paris cheered and applauded as the Eiffel Tower scintillated in the background and displayed the message 'MyBodyMyChoice' as the result of the vote was announced on a giant screen.
President Emmanuel Macron described the move as 'French pride' that had sent a 'universal message'.
Abortion rights are more widely accepted in France than in the US and many other countries, with polls showing around 80 per cent of French people back the fact that abortion is legal.

The French are killing their young, while they invite non-European Muslims into their country because to compensate for the lack of population growth. Europe is sick.
As much as we have problems with lefists in the west voting away our freedoms, there will probably be an even worse demographics change resulting from the rapefugees in France not aborting their babies while the European women abort theirs.

I fear that a large majority of women are the same here in the US. If abortion is made the number 1 issue this election season the left will turn out in droves to support their number one cause and conservatives will lose another election
