I no longer find myself in such venues as airports.

In my condo complex I get fairly frequent noise complaints from neighbors about my TV. I've been diagnosed with moderate hearing loss and told by an ENT specialist that I need hearing aides. But they start at $1,500 each so I can't afford them.
Perhaps these over 50s also have hearing problems.

A Mene Mene Tekel Upharsin moment is about to come to the United States. Almost all of these postings validate that statement. Put me in charge and you would see solutions for all of this. People would be on video genuinely crying real tears and apologizing for their behavior once my crew got through with them. You think I’m joking....

True.
I was shocked to hear it in Ireland when I visited Yeats ago.

They can't hear and they have no idea how loud they are. Everybody else is mumbling. Which is not totally wrong but they also are going deaf.
I got my DH noise canceling Bluetooth headphones for Christmas. He loves them and it has made the house quieter.

My work had me flying to Seattle—a lot—from the East Coast.
I have not gotten anywhere near an airport since I retired.

You are in Seattle. Just as obnoxious as any place in the world.

I don’t drink that much! It was a $50 per person fee to get in there, as I recall. We were hoping to really get a chance to relax. Had one drink and some finger food while we were there. It stunk, and I don’t think I will ever do that again, even if given an upgrade on my ticket. I had to take an Advil before we left, and that’s not usually something I do.

I’m 61 and I either stream to my bluetooth headset or my bluetooth hearing aid.

Well maybe because most of the “elders” can’t find their pods or don’t know how to use them...

Seatac is 21 miles from downtown Seattle—just FYI.

Just the other night I measured the sound pressure levels in my basement, where I occasionally (not often) crank up the stereo. I seemed to like it averaging around 100 dBA. Is that too loud, for a private setting?

Thanks for the heads up.
I didn’t realize Seattle was so small.
To: cgbg
And most of the people in the waiting areas are NOT from the City of Seattle.

When I go for my doctor appointments, it amazes me how many people in the waiting room have their phones out, doing something on them. I’m a 76 year old woman. I hate my cell phone, and the only time I have it in my hand, is for phone calls.
