Australia has offered the Malaysian government support for a renewed search for the wreckage of Malaysian Airlines flight MH370, on the 10-year anniversary of the aircraft’s disappearance.

On Friday, Australia’s foreign minister, Penny Wong, and transport minister, Catherine King, said the government’s “sincere sympathies” remained with the loved ones of those who were onboard.

“Despite coordinated efforts to locate the missing plane over the last decade, those who lost loved ones have not had the answers they seek. We recognise their ongoing heartache and grief,” the ministers said in a statement.

“Australia coordinated what was one of the biggest search operations of its kind in history when the aircraft disappeared, searching over 3 million square kilometres above the water and more than 120,000 square kilometres under the water, sadly without locating the missing aircraft,” they said.

A video came up a couple of days ago on the BBC titled, “Why Planes Vanish: The Hunt for MH370.” Even the MSM has given up the pretense that MH370’s disappearance could have been anything other than a deliberate act.

But what was different about this video is it features a retired aerospace engineer named Richard Godfrey who (as a hobby) has studied something called the “Weak Signal Propagation Reporter” and used it to narrow down the area where MH370 could have disappeared to a circle in the Indian ocean 36 miles in diameter. Small enough an area, according to him, that one more search (in such a limited area) is bound to find the wreckage.

But being as it’s the BBC, they finish by focusing on the few extremely rare suicide-murders by commercial airline pilots, and so get off in the weeds about pilot mental health care, and completely leave out the fact it might have been Muhammadan terrorism. In fact they never even mention that both pilots were Muhammadans, but they do mention the captain had a home flight simulator, which the FBI found to contain evidence that the captain had practiced flying from Kuala Lumpur to the south Indian ocean.

This Godfrey guy has some solid evidence he knows where the plane went down, and he’s gained considerable credibility with the crash investigation community, so even though he’s not named in the OP’s article, I suspect his data is the driving force behind this new search.

It bears mention that, from the start, Malaysia has shown little interest in solving the mystery, and the Aussies have been carrying their water for them. And apparently that’s still the case.

All of which makes it look suspiciously like the Malaysians knew from the start they had something to hide, possibly to protect the reputation of their state religion, Muhammadanism. But at this remove that concern probably has faded. It’s unlikely there’s anything in the wreckage itself that could confirm (or refute) that this was an Islamo-Fascist terror event.
