The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).
Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated, you’ll be solving them all within a few days. If you’re stumped, take a break and return to it.

The clock in my wife's car will be correct today.
My wife was a day early springing forward. I didn’t dare point it out.
My wife’s 2019 Rav4 has a clock that gets time from GPS, and somehow “knows” what time zone it is in, but not whether or not to apply DLST. To reset it, you have to go to settings, ... etc, until you get to set DLST to ON or OFF. So the clock is very precise, and often precisely wrong by one hour.
Digital clocks can be a real pita when you need to ‘adjust’ one.
I’m guessing Dave Barry or Erma Bombeck wrote it.
Another one in which I was mostly lost... Until I discovered I often quote the same author.
