Rats have gotten into confiscated pot at New Orleans’ aging police headquarters, munching the evidence as the building is taken over by mold and cockroaches, said the city’s police chief.
“The rats eating our marijuana, they’re all high,” Police Superintendent Anne Kirkpatrick told New Orleans City Council members.

Sheesh... I was at a conference about 10 years ago that was right on Bourbon St at the Royal Sonesta Hotel. I was really sick when I got to NOLA and went straight to bed and woke up about 4 am. Decided to go for a walk and surprisingly, there was nobody on Bourbon... walked for a block or so and right in the middle of the street was a gathering of about 20 rats fighting over some garbage. As I approached, they all scurried under a nearby door that had a few inches of gap at the bottom...
Mold, cockroaches and buzzed rats... well, yes, welcome to the 3rd Precinct, m’am.
The illegals are grilling rats on the street in NYC.
Right! They took the fentanyl, cocaine, and AK-47s too. Nothing suspicious. Everything above board.
vBULLCRAP!!! Unless marijuana flowers have been decarbed to activate the THC, the rats are NOT high.
(of course I stand corrected if they are eating “edibles” such as gummies or cookies but that was not mentioned in the report)
Everything in New Orleans is overrun by mold!
Was there once a couple of decades ago, it was Mardi Gras time and we were going to stay and watch that the next day but could not get a motel room anywhere near the place so just watched all the setup for the bash... an interesting place with old cemeteries in the town square area by the river... moldy, old and a bit decrepit, with vendors selling cheap beads by the bushel :-)
