Adam Sadler was great in Uncut Gems.
I wouldn’t say great, but he exceeded expectations and showed range.
Yes, I think I can write a Hollywood script better than anything they put out.
Even though it had a giant talking, psychoanalyst spider, and how do you beat that?
Thanks for the warning!
I’d prefer a puppy over a spider.
First I would change it from a Czech space program to a Guatemalan Space program since it makes about as much sense. Then the problem with his wife isn't that he misses her but she informs Sandler that she has been transitioning to a man since he's been gone. However, I would definitely keep the talking spider since that has a lot of comedic possibilities such as instead of helping him get back together with his wife, he gives divorce lawyer advice on how to split from his transitioning wife at minimum cost. Finally, I would have Sandler screaming at Ground Control though his clunky 90s cell phone to loudly complain about the obsolete equipment aboard ship.
I made it through all 90 minutes... it was bad, real bad.
I honestly couldn’t believe what I was watching...
Did anyone notice the spider got smaller over time... my guess is that it was never real... and the shrinking represented his sanity coming back...
Regardless... I can’t believe I watched the whole movie...
Or he needs the money.
I agree with the conclusion. But I kind of liked the spider. I was sad when he died.
Didn’t care about anyone else in the movie.
Is this a new movie? I have no clue about movies anymore. With a name like ‘Spaceman’ I would skip it anyway.
I know people like all these sci-fi movies but to me they are a waste of time. There are no planets with whole life forms on them leading all these super complicated ridiculous societies. They just seem like reasons for the prop department and the wardrobe department to make more and more ridiculous stuff.
Dune. There’s a piece of work. Gad. It’s so far beyond reality. When are the people going to come ‘back to earth’ so to speak and spend some time learning something worthwhile.
Netflix’s honchos have a multi film contract with Sandler. Its audience really likes the guy’s productions.
[LOS ANGELES (AP) — Expect more Adam Sandler in your Netflix feed.
The streaming giant announced Friday that Sandler and his Happy Madison Productions have reached a new deal with Netflix to make four more films. He’s had five films with the studio along with the stand-up special “Adam Sandler: 100% Fresh.”
Netflix leader Ted Sarandos said the company is excited to extend its partnership with Sandler, because audiences “love his stories and his humor.” The company said his 2019 comedy “Murder Mystery” starring him and Jennifer Aniston was the most popular film on Netflix in the U.S. last year and one of the most popular in eight other countries.]
Ha ha.
I could have saved you the trouble. Hollyweird is crap
My parents had that. My dad used to quote from it sometimes when I was a little kid. 😄
I never thought he that funny.
Thanks for the heads-up, PJ-Comix.
I’ve never been an Adam Sandler fan. I liked his “Happy Hanukkah” song from
his Saturday Night Live days, but that’s about it.
Thanks for the warning.
I don’t plan on seeing it, but was it as bad, as the attack of the killer tomatoes?
