"Diversity", "Inclusion", "Equity", minority set-asides, a massive welfare state, black separatism, constant shrieking about "white supremacy" and similar evils are all the inevitable and probably intended consequences of that fight.
Everything you mentioned there is true. But I don’t blame the original civil rights leaders for that. By and large, most of them just wanted a level playing field.
It’s all on LBJ. His wicked “Great Society” deliberately turned many blacks into wards of the state. So many horrible things grew from that program.
