I remember one day my teenage sons both began running toward the other side of the parking lot to buy a snack. I yelled at them “How many times have I told you to NEVER run in the parking lot?”
A father with his two young sons told his kids, “See? Even big boys aren’t allowed to run in the parking lot.”
Wise father. And good move on your part.
I used to also point out to my kids that the road kill had a run in with a car and lost.
