I like the way you think!
Couple of them IIRC.
Who knew they could be banned? Our last mayoral race consisted of lots of stones thrown in both directions about homeless encampments. No one had the huevos to bring it up, as both were women, one worse than the other.
i have a nice place in kentucky but DeSantis is sure making Florida look good.
Why would RV parks be next?
Apples & oranges...
And the ACLU files suit in 3...
Kudos and prayers for the good governor.
This is exactly why I’m moving to Florida. 3 months and counting and I’m done with this S hole California.
Wish I could join you, but my entire family, including some elderly and infirm relatives, is here.
I used to live in San Jose. The last time I was in San Francisco, they were everywhere. Supposedly, it’s worse now.
I remember when my kids were little and there was a field trip in San Francisco. We stopped at a playground, and there were homeless on the outside of the gated playground.
Heres Gov. Ron:
Yes but it also bans people from sleeping in their car- which is simply cruel-I can tell- many times at end of your rope- that’s your only safe private shelter so you can keep working. You can be arrested for sleeping in your car. That is cruel.
Cruel or not, I’m glad florida is doing what they are doing. My future home........
Looking to leave. WAY WAY too many people, WAY too much construction/development- it’s non-stop-cutting down so much greenery and just keep building (South Lake county hardly has any ‘country’ left at all- it has changed incredibly in just 5 years), traffic and roads suck and it’s way too friggin hot now. Crime is way up and in central Florida (it has been verified to me by trusted people with personal experience and their interactions with law enforcement as a result), violent immigrant gangs are active in Central Fl area for sure. Of course you’ll never see that on the news because, well, no one, and certainly not our local news stations, hardly reports any local news at all, and certainly avoid reporting anything about crime. [if they don’t report it, it isn’t happening and thus you can assume you are safe! s/ ]It was nice in 80’s when I moved here. Now anywhere you go, any store, hardly hear any English spoken from those shopping. I’m talking large swath of central Florida in my experience-Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Lake County as well as Escambia, as we have friends in that area up north. It’s a shame. And yes, ban encampments or sidewalk sleeping (downtown Orlando is covered with homeless and drug addicts- I don’t know why anyone goes to downtown Orlando), but to keep honest hardworking people effected by FJB economy from sleeping in their cars (and OFF the streets!!) and maintaining their last ditch safe shelter is absolutely heinous. I know from personal experience. That’s often one’s last hope of surviving a difficult time. THAT is BS.
