‘The Planet Is Going Bankrupt’: Human Survival Depends On Managing Climate Risk
Forbes ^ | March 25, 2024 | By Nina Seega

2023 has been a record-breaking year in terms of temperature rise, ocean warming, wildfires and pretty much every other weather event the world over. Various climate attribution reports show that climate change had a guiding hand in making these events more frequent and more intense. Yet, the climate modelling used to plan for and finance adaptation to a warmer world has failed to keep up.

This disconnect between models and the likely future that awaits us is deeply problematic.

The first European climate risk assessment from the European Environment Agency, published in March, shows Europe has heated up faster than any other continent since the industrial revolution, but is deeply underprepared for the climate risks to come.

Adopting new ways of modelling will be challenging, but change can happen if policymakers and scientists work together.

This is not the time for squabbling, pointless divisions or political polarization. This is not about winning the next election or having the last word, this is about nothing more or less than the future of humanity.

Man can’t change the climate any more than he can build a tower to heaven.

One thing is certain about the Left: Those on the Left most always place their emotions and feelings over reality and truth.

Another certainty is that those on the Left have absolutely no sense of introspection. and they demand that everyone -- especially those who do not agree with them -- acknowledge and denounce their heresy and not just actively participate in the delusions and irrationality of the Left, but celebrate and accept them as the "true" reality.

These tenets are not those of a political nature, they are of a theological nature; in this matter, the cult-like secular religion of Leftism.

“Climate Change”, used to be “Global Warming”, but that wasn’t good enough. Weather records go back about a hundred years or so, which is a a drop in an Olympic sized swimming pool compared to the 4 billion years or so the earth has existed. There have been many times in the past where the earth was warmer than now, and life thrived, the carbon dioxide generated amazing growth to plant life, which in turn benefited animals. If there is a warming of the earth, than I welcome it, I’d love to grow citrus, mangoes, pineapple, bananas, all kinds of fruit and veggies that I cannot grow in N.J. At my age I’ve had my fill of snow, used to love the stuff, now it’s just work. Bring it on!

The planet is, however, going bankrupt.

We’re heading into some very dark ages.

And totally discount the vast historical data with much higher and much lower numbers than now. But there was no money to be made then. And, as much as I don’t like being too hot, it’s more survivable. Oh, and stuff grows better too. 😁👍

Some causes of inflation:

Decline in the ability of the country, to produce its way out of a hole.

Decline in the will to reduce costs of government.

We’re heading into some very dark ages.

That's their plan. 90% of human population dies off. (The remainder live in caves, animal skins, and have a life expectancy of 35 years max. That's their idea of Paradise.)

The “climate risks to come” are continuing having our governments run by environmental-fanatic-nutcases.

Money is just a medium of exchange and has no intrinsic value. It is meaningless to say that the world is bankrupt because sovereign nations can create all the money they want. That is not the problem. The real problem is that there is no agreement on what real-world productive steps humans can take to change what are essentially cosmic events. If there were a consensus on what needed to be done, there would be a path to progress, but such a consensus does not exist. Any money spent in such an environment will be wasted, contributing to unproductive inflations.

The political climate is definitely heating up, but not in favor of the elites or their lackeys.
