Huge of amounts of money was wasted, governments gained more control, thousands of businesses closed up, thousands of people were killed, doctors were persecuted, and access to a cure was cut off and no one has been prosecuted for these crimes, thank God he is in control because we see where the heart of man will take us
As a side note: testing HCQ on late stage COVID patients is like saying exercise is bad for prevention of heart disease because patients did not respond well to being tossed out of the ambulance having to run the last mile when having a heart attack.

My wife has been taking HCQ for over 40 years for a chronic and severe condition. When the “pandemic” struck our pharmacy refused to refill her prescription for HCQ. We pointed out they had been filling it for 30 years, but they still refused to fill it.
We eventually got more. But that was evil.

No, they actively conspired against the lives of millions of Americans and have committed HIGH CRIMES for which the only appropriate penalty is DEATH.
And not death after decades of liberal hand wringing and appeals but after a tribunal and summery and immediate execution.
A firing squad would be appropriate but death but repeated injections of mRNA “vaccinations” until such time as they die would be justice.
Not just government.
Big Med and Big Pharma, too.
Indeed, it was politics not science or medicine that drove the anti HCQ/IVM narrative. And politics includes money. A quick fix for the virus would have made the pandemic irrelevant, bolster Trump, and make nobody any money. Plus the people “in charge” would get no added powers over society, medicine, people and daily life.
If they allowed hydroxchloroquine to work, as it clearly does, then they couldn’t have pushed Big Pharma’s experimental “vaccine” on us.

The zest with which our ‘leaders’ pursued the lockdowns and all the other control measures, especially the vaccination and Rx components were dead giveaways. It was nothing more than an old-fashioned battle for control. Nothing else made any sense to me from Day One.

I believe that Trump Derangement Syndrome more than anything ended any chance that HCQ and IVM could become the standard of care. Governments jumped on that TDS bandwagon and Big Pharma saw the opening they needed to make huge profits by getting nations and WHO to effectively ban HCQ and IVM for use against COVID.
It highlighted all the people who were never again to be trusted.
It is interesting to note how Trump was a very early proponent of the Zelensky Protocol, and “medical non-science,” Fauxci, the MSM, and VP Pence scuttled him away for promoting “crazy” truth.
Mike Pence and Fauxci and all the others that didn't come around can't be trusted with really anything. They have hearts and minds that are corrupt.

The IHU – Méditerranée Infection continued studies and early treatments with HCQ all through the pandemic with good results as was eventually mentioned in prof Clancy's essay.
The fact that WHO and other "authorities" accepted the results of the Surgisphere study (pure hoax) and the British RECOVERY study where late stage patients were treated with toxic levels of HCQ is nothing less than a scandal. I agree with you both regarding those administrators and medical professionals who were responsible for this catastrophe as well as the people in both the MSM and social media who quelled all other views than the "accepted one".
If the actual life-saving effects of hydroxychloroquine had been allowed into the open then there would have been no excuse to mail presidential ballots to fake addresses and nonexistent people.
My PCP (Primary Care Physician) warned me not to take CHQ because of my heart disease.
