"JACKASS!".........................

Definitely one of my favorites. I used to leave high school parties to get back in time for SCTV. And as they started before the advent of home VCRs, I had to take notes to remember the skits.
Condolences to his family & friends. Thank you for the great laughs and memories.

He was the drunken Ward Cleaver in SCTV’s send up of Leave It To Beaver, along with Catherine O’Hara as June, and John Candy as The Beaver. Also liked him as Floyd Robertson to Eugene Levy’s Earl Camembert. RIP.

He was 82? That's hard to believe.

SCTV in its heyday was easily the funniest thing on TV - Flaherty, Eugene Levy, Dave Thomas, Rick Moranis, John Candy, Katherine O'Hara...NBC used to put them on after the vastly inferior Saturday Night Live, which was a shame - they deserved far more fame than they got.
RIP to Guy Cabellero.

SCTV might have had the best talent for a sketch show.

I hate it when I run into old people then realize that I went to school with them.

Sandler has made some terrible movies but Happy was great. But it also had a great supporting cast.

Mainly recall Flaherty from SCTV back in the 80’s and his Count Floyd. The one with the kid and the “too scary” story too.
Forgot he was in the Gilmore movie—but then I didn’t immediately remember that Carl Weathers was in it either when he passed away earlier this year. Maybe I just don’t like Sandler movies.
