Within 3 days, we lose Herzog, Ken Holtzman, wife-swapper Fritz Peterson, and Carl Erskine.

And within the week, lost NY Mets catcher Jerry Grote.

I didn't know Carl Erskine was still alive; 97 is a great run. I am familiar with him from reading The Boys of Summer decades ago. He seemed like a very very good man. RIP Oisk.
