Would a nuclear strike against Iran trigger nuclear responses from Russia for their ally Iran?
The Russians are first of all about survival of the Russians. I don’t see the Ruskies doing anything altruistic that could conceivably provoke nuclear retaliation.
It likely would but why waste your nuclear arsenal when there are other powerful bombs that will do the trick?

There’s no need. No one contracted me to advise the Israelis, but this is plain as day:
Attack asymmetrically & conventionally. Take out the leadership of the Guards, destroy the secret police headquarters, destroy any repositories of files on the Iranian dissenters, stop ALL regime communications, run guns to the opposition.
The wonderful Iranian people, who in fact love the US, will topple the regime. Watch.
