Hero: 49ers’ Brock Purdy Saves Woman’s Life From Near Coyote Attack

Mad cool points earned for Brock Purdy.

If you’re a quarterback in the NFL, one of the biggest skills that you’re going to need is situational awareness — San Francisco 49ers’ Brock Purdy has that in flying colors.

Making an appearance Tuesday on “The Pat McAfee Show,” Purdy gave confirmation that he issued an alert to a local reporter about a coyote that was approaching both her and her dog during a commercial shoot he was doing for John Deere.

We can only assume that this story flew under the radar and is now going viral, because back in Feb., this was reported on-air by Sara Donchey of CBS News Bay Area. During a television segment, Donchey told the story that while she was following the cameras and walking her dog in the process, Purdy shouted out to her that a coyote was nearing.

VIDEO AT LINK....................

Check out Brock Purdy!

My man is fresh off leading the 49ers to the Super Bowl, he’s set to get a fat contract after the 2024 season, he’s got all the fame that a quarterback would want and now here he is out here saving women from coyotes. All we need is Brock kissing babies, and this dude has a PR campaign for the ages!

Do the damn thing, Brock. Do the damn thing.

"... a coyote that was approaching both her and her dog...."

So at best, he saved a dog, which is not nothing, but I feel like this is disingenuous reporting. I am extremely skeptical that she was in any real danger.

Yes, but he wears his cap backwards. I have long held that you should only do that if you are a baseball catcher, an auto mechanic, or playing the part of Oscar Madison. Indoors, he should be wearing no cap.

Purdy shouted out to her that a coyote was nearing.

It doesn't take much to be a "hero" these days.

I hope you all know that a coyote is usually only 18 to 44 pounds, nobody’s life was in danger. This is such a n NFL puff piece that it approaches media fellatio.

Or if you’re shooting a scoped rifle. After the shot you turn the cap back around.

This is an incredibly lame thing to make it into any “news” article.

The fact that this guy agreed to talk about it, at all, shows he’s an idiot.

Wow! From the comments I’ve seen thus far, I think I’ve fallen into an episode of the Muppets where the two old codgers are up in the balcony making fun of everything that is happening on stage.

Pish, I’d like to introduce you to tosh: Pish, tosh, tosh, pish. Pish and tosh, I’d like to see if I can interest you in a mildly interesting human interest story involving someone famous. True, it only belongs on about page 8 of the paper; but some might be at least mildly interested.

“…her and her dog”

What self-respecting reporter would write such horrible English?

Everybody knows the correct grammar is “them and them dog.”

The coyote would not harm the woman. He was after her dogs for a snack.

Human killing coyotes? I’m near Cleveland and they trot about all the time. Didn’t know my life was in danger. But I guess I don’t have a Brock Purdy nearby.

Saved her dogs’ life probably. Coyotes don’t really go after humans much.

that’s nice, but i do believe he saved the dog’s life. Coyotes work in teams sometimes to distract the human, and snatch the dog.

Dang!

If he had been in Texas instead of CA, he could have whipped out his folding-stock AK-47 and blasted the coyote...

It certainly would have helped put a wrench into the gears of the drug & migrant-smuggling trade...

Misleading headline.

I live in Scottsdale, my house backs to one of the canals and near a golf course. Seeing coyotes is a regular occurrence (once a month or so)on my daily walks with my dog. Generally, they keep their distance and stay away. Attacks of small dogs (mine is a 75 lb. Doberman) is very rare but does occur 1-2 times a year.

I'm a Niner and Purdy fan, but this does not qualify as a death defying act of heroism.
