The University of Southern California has cancelled all of the speakers scheduled to speak at the commencement ceremony amid controversy.
On April 15, the prestigious private university announced its decision to ban the valedictorian from speaking at this year's graduation on May 10.
Asna Tabassum, 21, was banned for being outspoken in her pro-Palestinian support, which has led her to be labeled anti-Semitic.

While I agree about the speakers, this reeks of “if we can’t have the anti-semite we won’t have anyone” type of protest.
And they’ll probably pay the speakers anyway.

Well, USC actually offers a degree in “Resistance to Genocide.” It was this girl’s minor!
But now the USC Politboro says their own red guard isn’t allowed to speak about what she claims is “resistance to genocide.”

About 3 decades ago, a DNA heir and about 20 of his fellow engineer buddies did what you suggested above at a Cal State U. for engineers.
He had his degree mailed to us, and it has been stored in a drawer with other family degrees.
I blew off my graduation. After 7 years I wanted to get the hell out of there.

That’s what I did. The last thing I wanted to do after college was hang out in the hot Fresno sun listen to a bunch of people I don’t know or care about. I didn’t even go.
