Unlikely. During the Vietnam War protests a lot of people got sucked up in "the movement", without regard to issues. Females are more prone to adhere to an orthodoxy, especially young women. P. J. O'Rourke confessed that he attended protests because liberal girls were easy.

I noticed this almost 40 years ago in college when there was an animal rights protest and I asked one girl why she’s against killing mice but abortion is ok.
She looked totally flummoxed, she really obviously understood the logical conundrum. But a calm look came over her face and body posture and she said, “it’s a women’s right to chose” like a mantra.
