APS ousts principal after drag queen stripper fiasco (Albuquerque, NM)

Fury erupted from concerned citizens and parents after a video was posted showing a drag queen stripper “entertaining” minors at Atrisco Heritage Academy’s prom in Albuquerque. The shockwaves immediately began, with many contacting the school’s principal, Irene Cisneros, with rage.

In response to the uproar following the video, Albuquerque Public Schools issued a statement on Wednesday, informing parents that an investigation into the incident is underway to determine how it was allowed to happen and the impact on students. The statement clarified that this issue is considered a personnel matter, and no further details were available at the time.

Now, according to a social media-shared email, Cisneros is no longer the principal. Albuquerque’s Chief of Schools, Channell Segura, wrote, “I want to inform you that Anthony Lovato has been appointed as the acting principal of Atrisco Heritage Academy.”

Other videos shared on social media reveal that the male stripper in drag not only danced but told the kids, “We’re grown,” while touching the kids, shaking his fake breasts, then pulling out the breast pads to wipe his face.

More videos reportedly are circulating, as the Piñon Post has learned. It is still unclear who the people responsible for the drag show performance are, however, with the school’s principal no longer in that role, the school’s chief could be implicated.

“how it was allowed to happen” — you hired a flaming WOKE principal. Your hiring practices are terrible. You need to get rid of the people who investigated the principal and hired her, not just fire the principal.

“the impact on students” — it certainly isn’t good. Young kids exposed to filth at the impressionable age is not good for young mind development. Just like young girls being exposed to men in the girls’ locker room.

But our President is pushing this even harder than ever with his incessant push for “equity and fairness.” Letting men into womens’ sports and into womens’ locker rooms inevitably leads to these “drag” shows.

Albuquerque Public Schools replaced the principal of Atrisco Heritage Academy and multiple employees were put on leave after a drag performance played out during the high school’s prom.

By Thursday morning, Principal Irene Cisneros’ name was scrubbed from the school’s staff listing, and Anthony Lovato had been named acting principal. APS spokesman Martin Salazar said Lovato took over the role on Wednesday. Salazar would not say which employees were placed on leave or if Cisneros, who has been principal for several years, would be returning to the school.

“We cannot comment on any specific personnel matters,” he said. “We can, however, confirm that employees have been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.” Salazar said the investigation will determine if any APS policies were violated. Cisneros could not be reached Thursday.

The announcement came days after videos surfaced over social media showing a man who goes by “Mythica” in drag, dancing for students at the school’s prom on Saturday at the Albuquerque Convention Center.

In the three-minute video, students formed a large circle around the man, dancing in a wig, bodysuit and heeled boots, with students screaming and clapping enthusiastically throughout the performance.

“First of all, if you don’t clap, I might die. No, I’m kidding,” the performer tells the students at one point, holding a microphone. “Second off, love y’all but this is my stage right now, not yours. Take pictures from afar — lighting can be homophobic. It’s not cute.”
