The Kippah (head covering) (or sometomes called a yarmulke, yamaka) is worn by Jewish men as a sign of respect for God above you.

Maybe it’s origin is either cultural to the whole Middle East or maybe it goes back to Abraham.

Until the 70s and the current crowd’s hostile takeover, almost all women wore head coverings within Catholic churches, and of course they still do within traditional circles. Out on the street is different but thought I would throw in a Friday Factoid for those who might be unaware. (Might want to check out: 1 Corinthians 11)
