And you would be amazed at how much money some people will gladly pay for something found at auction for pennies on the dollar. Stuff you or I would toss in the trash without thinking twice.

An item which would, properly appraised, be worth $100,000 may rightly be judged, if unappraised, to be worth a fraction of that if making the appraisal itself requires substantial effort by experts.
