(vanity) Help! Looking for name of certain type of scam (seen in "The Sting")

Hi all --
I need a little help tracking down the name of an oldtime scam, one that was shown in "The Sting".
In it, the scammers surreptitiously "hijack" an office and pose there temporarily as legitimate businessmen. They pocket money from unsuspecting customers, then skedaddle before the true business owner returns.
A "Front", maybe?
TOPICS:

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I don't think they'll let you FReep from the Big House. :)

You may find it here:

Or just send me a blank money order for 1000 dollars and I'll have it sent to you by General Ngtotyie direct from Nigeria.
