Rebuild The Party

This site may have been posted somewhere else but I missed it. Came across this the other day on Twitter and saved it.

We can sit back and say we were cheated and the media was unfair and we can blame it on an uneducated, self-indulging , pop-oriented electorate, whatever.

But we need to start rebuilding and here are two people who jumped on it right away

Agreed 100%. We have several leaders in the wings who can help make a big impact on this...including, IMHO, Sarah Palin.

HOW SARAH PALIN TRUMPS LIBERALISM

This is not a bad idea, but in the literature I’ve seen so far, the focus is almost entirely on the “two I’s,” the internet and party infrastructure.

Again, that’s not bad, but the true problem the Republican party had in 2008 — and indeed as far back as 1996 — is that they have drifted away from the Conservative agenda. In fact, they shifted decisively since 2002, which is what cost them so dearly.

All the “plan’s” in the world to expand internet outreach, to rebuild and reform the party, are meaningless if those who make up the “grassroots” see no “repentance” and return to Conservative Principles. All this plan could conceivably be a collossal waste of time if Republicans nominate another McCain, or Bush, or Dole...

Just my $ .02.

The GOP has been subverted by the Liberals..I left the party this month..as I now feel it cannot reform itself and does not want to..we need a new conservative party and those claiming to be conservatives in the Senate and House need to quit the GOP and support the new party..no other fix will work.

I posted this in another thread, but it fits here.
I've become thoroughly fed up and disgusted by the Republican party. Their lack of courage, dignity, ethics and historical convictions have me seriously looking at alternatives. I haven't gone into too much depth looking at the Constitution Party, but based on the principles, I'm going to be looking more closely.

Seven Principles of the Constitution Party are:

1. Life: For all human beings, from conception to natural death;

2. Liberty: Freedom of conscience and actions for the self-governed individual;

3. Family: One husband and one wife with their children as divinely instituted;

4. Property: Each individual's right to own and steward personal property without government burden;

5. Constitution: and Bill of Rights interpreted according to the actual intent of the Founding Fathers;

6. States' Rights: Everything not specifically delegated by the Constitution to the federal government is reserved for the state and local jurisdictions;

7. American Sovereignty: American government committed to the protection of the borders, trade, and common defense of Americans, and not entangled in foreign alliances.

Sort of sound like the kind of things the Republican Party used to stand for.

I'm seaching and if you see something worth supporting, let me know. I didn't think I'd live long enough to see American principles decay the way they have, but I'm still not willing to give up the fight.

There’s nothing in there about education of the young, of creating an Energy Mandate power base in some other place besides DC.

Nothing in there that addresses the fatal blow of the MSM in painting all of the varied “individualists” with one racist, obnoxious word, “STUPID”. Anyone calling themselves Pubbies will be seen as a drooling moron. Even here at FR one group is scared of being seen with another.

And no FREE programs in the community. Fuggeddaboudit.

What happens when the entire truth comes about Palin’s heretical church in Wasilla? I’m surprised it didn’t come up in the last election cycle. Of course, I was a little pre-occupied the past few months. I’m not sure it the MSM ever picked up on it.

Blogs won’t get it done. All politics is local. Start with the House of Representatives 2010.

Not even close - we barely had control of Congress after 40 years of their control; we stupidly "shared" control over committees when Jeffords departed; they've trounced constructionist judicial nominees (or just never voted); and Bush barely won in 2000. Beyond that, we've never controlled the media, unions, Hollywood, foreign influences, or K-college.

Things are quite different now. Obama will appoint hundreds of liberal judges to vacancies that the Dems have held up for months-years; he will have all the votes in Congress he needs; they have even greater reach in the media, Hollywood, unions, all minority groups, foreign influences, and K-college.

No, if the R party (of which I've been a lifetime member) every makes a comeback, it will take a miracle. And, Obama and his minions will wreak havoc over the next 8 years.

"...we stupidly "shared" control over committees...

I remember that well. I never understood it. Republicans simply do not know how to wield power, and so......they've lost it.

The whole Latter Rain, Rick Joyner Apostolic/Prophetic, “Jesus Camp” connections? We better figure it out and get it right now instead of waiting until 2012.

It did come up. The fruits at MSNBC flogged the story for weeks.

It’s a non-issue because no one cares, and her church is normal when compared to Jeremiah Wright’s congregation.

Oh, to answer your question, nothing will happen.

Blogs won’t get it done, but they can be an integral part. Moveon.org raised millions and networked activists all over the country. The conservative movement would do well to copy some of these tactics.

No church is “normal” if it is caught up in the Rick Joyner Phony Prophet/Toronto Blessing “Holy Laughter” movement. I would seriously question the judgment of any officeholder if they were affiliated with such lunacy. Hopefully, she can show that she has made a break with churches that actually think they are going to be part of a supernatural end-times army that enforces God’s rule upon the world (Google “manifest sons of God” and “Joel’s Army”).

Unfortunately, that doesn’t appear to be the case as she is still affiliated with them.

But use local message boards also or start one.

I have heard some talk about tightening up primary policies since some states allow democrats and independents to vote in the republican primaries. This is really dumb. Why should we let people outside of the party dilute our choices. I think the rinos probably secretly welcome this as it is a way of culling out the real conservatives at the primary level.

Has anyone heard about whether the party will start keeping out dems and independents from voting in our primaries.
