The Hockey Mom from Wasilla as the Boogie Woman.
Jeffrey Feldman, referring to the Olivia Wilde video recently posted by Moveon.org, thinks he has found the perfect slogan to motivate Democrats and perhaps save Barack Obama from the "refudiation" he is about to get at the polls.
President Palin!
"A 'Hail Mary!' pass? Who cares. I found myself laughing and nodding in agreement all the way through the video.
"'President Palin' works and it is not hard to explain why.
"One would be hard-pressed to think of a cold slap in the face that stings Democrats more than the prospect of Sarah Palin in the Oval Office.
"Even if Dick Cheney sprouted wings and installed George W. Bush for a third term, the results would be tame by comparison to even one term of 'President Palin'--a pathetic commentary on how far the Republican Party has driven itself into the land of the absurdly obscene.
"That, in a nutshell, is the message to Democrats from the MoveOn ad: either vote or accept that Palin will be President and destroy any hope of a viable future the world has."
The idea that trying to change a comely, affable hockey mom from Wassila, Alaska, into the boogie woman is the only thing the Democrats have to save them from disaster is pretty pathetic. However, that will not stop them from using the fear and loathing of Sarah Palin among the left as a motivational whip.
The conventional wisdom is that once the Democrats have their heads handed to them, Palin becomes the frontrunner for the 2012 GOP nomination...

“The conventional wisdom is that once the Democrats have their heads handed to them, Palin becomes the frontrunner for the 2012 GOP nomination...”
Well, I think that’s true.
“President Palin”, yes, it has a wonderful ring to it.
Both sides will be out in full force and fired up in 2012. We’d best put our best out there and that is looking like Gov. Palin to me.
President Soros is going to be busily turning out the leftist base.
And, yes, since Palin has taken the lead in stopping the runaway O train, and since Palin has taken the lead in trying to get conservatives elected, however it turns out next week, she is probably going to be the next president.
There is still time for other Repubs to find their nerve and get into the fight in time to be “viable” come primary season. But she was in O’s face from day one.
While President Palin does have a a wonderful ring to it you can bet that the liberal base (dead and alive) will be out in force. It is time for Independents to get on board so she does not get defeated.
THAT pic made my day!
I couldn’t agree with you more.
The time to “Join or Die” is quickly approaching.
Hopa Hopa Hopa .... I simply do not understand how some people (read Lib-tards/Demo-rats)think(??!!)that Obama has more experience than Palin????
Like nobody's business. But it would also turn out the conservative base. Independents are the unknown.
Unfortunately many Indpendents are part of the “I hate hunting crowd”. They loooooove animals so much that they forget mankind. Defenders of Wildlife and the World Wildlife Federation were trashing Palin before she was selected as McCain’s running mate. Another unfortunate thing is that Indenpendents out number Conservatives.
Great picture brings a tear to my eye, I wish that was real and right now!
They tried the same crap with Reagan. Didn’t work.
Rats turned out in large numbers to vote against Bush in 04...but conservatives turned out more.
Conservatives were terrified of the thought of a President Obama...but were outdone by the excitement of the left.
Point being, enthusiasm trumps fear. People are more likely to vote FOR somebody rather than AGAINST (though I suspect the anti-Obama vote will be substantial in 2010.)
“Unfortunately many Indpendents are part of the ‘I hate hunting’ crowd”
__________
Oh, really? Do you have empirical research to back that conclusion up, or is it just your opinion?
Even in blue Wisconsin, support for hunting is strong, according to a survey conducted there this summer:

The anti-hunting moonbats are actually a relative small minority. They just make a lot of noise, that’s all.
