I think a West/Palin ticket, or Palin/West, would unite the conservatives and independents like none other.

Allen West would be perfect. Can you imagine a true

American who happens to be black, taking on 0bama or any

other democrat?

I can, and the country would love it. That would knock the

crap out of them and all they stand for in so many ways.

The timing and everything would be perfect.

I like West very much; however, leave the man alone...........he's only months into his first elective office and none of us know all that much about him. He needs more experience; wait a few years on him!

Then there is the race factor. The MSM would turn on him, as they did Justice Thomas and the majority of blacks and white guilt trippers will NEVER vote for a conservative black. And while he's better than Keyes, take the Keyes V Obama Senate race and see how that one turned out. We need to NOT do the "race thing" against Obama.

Sarah needs to pick someone with "gravitas" ( I hate that word and that whole stupid idea, but she does need to do that ) for VEEP. That person had better be as pure as the driven snow and come with an Ivy degree; to please the dumb elitists. And before anyone asks me for a name..........I can't think of one.

We need leaders exactly like LTC West and Gov. Palin. They're not pedigreed, are more loyal to their conservative beliefs than their party, and have guts. Milquetoast pansies like Romney, Daniels, Pawlenty, Gingrich, etc, inspire nothing more in me than an urge to run for the commode.

You make some good points. But I don’t think we have time for West to gain more experience. I think we’ll be in even more dire straits this time next year.

It’s all very frustrating.

Agreed. Let’s do it with West and another good conservative.

Yes,it's frustrating; however, West has shown less than NO interest, whatsoever, in seeking higher office at this time. He's a political neophyte and needs more time, which he knows.

All the talk about this one and that one, who either has just recently taken office, or done so in the immediate past ( like Bobby Jindahl, Walker, Christi, etc. ) is just plain old dumb and in spades! Many have repeatedly said that they aren't even thinking about running, said "HELL NO, I'M NOT RUNNING; LEAVE ME ALONE", or ignored the whole matter.

And we all look like abject fools, by pushing someone just because of their race.

Yes, race WILL play a part in '12, but no matter the fact that a conservative of color is good in his/her own right, it all comes down to looking forced/affirmative action/idiotic for our side to do.

And the bandwagon birthers, or those who just want someone who will say the dumb things that they say ( and yes, I AM talking about Trump ! ), don't get it. We need someone ( and I'll gladly admit it....I'm a Palinista ) who fights back, but also someone with experience!

The reason the authors didn’t mention Palin in the article is probably because they don’t think she’s going to run. And they would probably be right.

I can’t argue with any of that.

I don't like that word either. However, sorry. Saint Sarah herself doesn't even have "gravitas" - and she's not running either.

You don't know that she isn't running.

From what I've seen, I think that she is.

And unlike you, I think she has tons of "gravitas", but she needs a VEEP whom the rest of the country believes has it.

I would crawl over broken glass for a West/Palin or Palin/West ticket. Love Pence and DeMint as well. The current crop of GOP candidates is ....terrible.

Ha! Agreed. My pug would make a better president. If you put one can of food behind a “yes’ button and another one behind a “no” button, she would have a 50/50 chance of getting it right. Obama is wrong 100% of the time-intentionally, IMHO.

If we could get a West/Palin or vice versa ticket, I'd be bleeding right next to you, knees and hands torn to shreds from all that broken glass. Metaphorically speaking, of course.

I’d like nothing better than to see Allen West, a real American hero wipe the floor with the puke named 0bama.
