The Mama Grizzly is coming out of hibernation. This weekend, Sarah Palin is launching her "One Nation" bus tour, visiting historical sites across the country. Palin will start on Memorial Day at the Rolling Thunder weekend motorcycle rally that starts at the Pentagon. Where it will end has yet to be announced. But given Palin's other recent movethe announcement of a feature-length film on her tenure as governorit looks as if her ultimate destination may be the White House.
Whatever Mitt Romney had on his plate for Memorial Day, he'd better make room. If we assumefor the purposes of page viewsthat Palin is getting into the race, the Republican contest immediately becomes one between Palin and Romney, with other candidates circling for a way to break into the conversation. A recent Gallup poll shows Romney (17 percent) and Palin (15 percent) essentially in a tie among Republican voters. The third-place candidate, Ron Paul, has only 10 percent support.
The polls are not terribly meaningful at this point, of course. Name recognition has a lot to do with these numbers, so it's not surprising Palin and Romney are at the top. What may be more meaningful in assessing the Romney vs. Palin matchup is the polling about the characteristics of the two candidates' supporters. Romney comes out ahead. Palin has more intense followers, but she also has more intense detractors, and for the last few months her momentum has been going in the wrong direction in her party....

The only thing Palin helps Mitthead do is find his freaking seat in the back of the room.
Even the Daily Kos pollster finds that Governor Palin has cut the lead that Obama held over her in Ohio by 38%, even though the sample includes ten percent more Democrats than Republicans. She pretty much wins the same percentage of the vote as Republican Party hack Mitt peacetime Romney.
I'll give you ONE clue:
HEY HUSSEIN! GET OUT OF SARAH'S HOUSE!
Cheers!
Anyone they believe has no chance against Obama. In '08 the their choice was McCain (up until the moment he won the nomination). This time it's Romney. Hopefully the GOP wises up.
The left will do anything to prevent Palin from winning the nomination. This includes head fakes, reverse psychology and lies hidden within more lies.
“The only thing Palin helps Mitthead do is find his freaking seat in the back of the room.”
I was going to say pretty much the same thing, but you phrased it better than I would have! Go Away Plastic Mitt!!!
Palin ‘12!!!
Don't underrate us. A rookie pollster could make a communist who hates white people, Americans, Jews, and the United States Constitution look good enough that he would win the election. What can beat us though is people power. Get the Palin supporters out there talking to their friends, politely but without backing down. Get them out there posting (even on CNN, MSNBC, Kos, and DU to explain why Palin does what sensible liberal Americans want (gloss over the fact that sensible libs are called "conservatives"). Get Palin's legions of supporters donating time and money (generously!) to her campaign. With all that on her side, there is nothing the media and pollsters (rookie or experienced) can do to stop her.
That would be in the miracle category!
I expect the GOP hierarchy to be in the background working against anyone not on their short list.
“The left will do anything to prevent Palin from winning the nomination.....”
the Left, the RINO’s ..ALL of DC, Boston, New York, Chicago, San Francisco....
It is going to be a Flyover Country versus the RinoCrat’s race...and when its said and done the lines between We the People ..and those who would dare to presume to be their masters will be well-defined, clear cut and unambiguous.

Sadly, there are quite a few Republicans out there that will help the left out with that. Primarily on the left, but in some areas of the red states too, conservative women are the last acceptable target of misogynistic idiocy. And, I’m definitely not using a wide brush to paint men on the right as misogynists. They exist, but it’s a universal trait on the the left. example: Ed Schultz calling Ingram a right wing slut.
Rumor has it that Sarah will be in New Hampshire next Thursday, the same day Romney will be to announce his candidacy.
“Rolling Thunder” this weekend, “Stealing Thunder” next week!

The article says Sarah’s momentum has been going in the wrong direction over the last couple months. No it hasn’t. The talking class just managed to convince themselves that she wasn’t running. And as it seemed that she wasn’t running, people turned their attention to other candidates.
That does not reflect her level of support in any way. Other candidates, seen as substitutes for Palin, were starting to get her supporters. And lets not forget that a sizeable portion of poll respondents aren’t happy with any of the current slew of candidates - which may or may not change if Sarah officially becomes one.
I’m thrilled that it looks like she’s gearing up for a run after all, if for no other reason than to throw everyone’s expectations of this race so far out the window.
Milt Romney the Magic RINO:
"I'm not running as the Republican view
or a continuation of Republican values.
That's not what brings me to the race.
(Romney Video, accessed 9/19/07)
"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party
over to the traitors in the battle just ended.
We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged
to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support.
Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates
wouldnt make any sense at all.""
-- President Ronald Reagan
Will you people please stop being so damned oblique??!!
Stop beating around the bush, and tell us what you REALLY think about Mit Romney...!!
Carry on.
If Palin runs she'll win the GOP nomination in a walk. It will be over when the SC Primary is over. She would win Iowa, show very well in NH and win SC and NV by 30%. Nationwide polling (the real stuff, not what we get to see) will show her ahead nationally by 20 pts and rising.
If Romney is in the race, there is no way Palin comes close in New Hampshire or Nevada. Romney was over 50% in Nevada and over 30% in New Hampshire in 2008 in a losing effort...those are establishment Republican states and will not vote conservative.
Good point. Romney is a CHEATER who brings in his
Mormon voters from Massachusetts to vote in NH.
It is illegal. But that is the ROMNEY WAY.
