You are right about that. There is no way I can see her turning this thing around.
“We don’t promote House members to the presidency. It’s only happened once, in a freak 4-way election. She has zero executive experience.”
Still, it would’ve helped if she didn’t come across as unhinged.
Michelle shot herself in the foot. It’s not like we weren’t willing to give her a fair hearing.
At best, She is an anti Palin plant of the DNC.
After her getting so emotional and obsessive about Perry and the HPV vaccine, I could no longer visualize her speaking rationally, calmly and professionally to world leaders. (and Bachmann had been my first choice)
I agree with her positions and I believe she is conservative, but she isn’t presidential in my mind. She was standing on good ground attacking the EO but when she went into her telling of that sad, pitiful, woman and child— she lost me.
I also lost respect of how she made a vaccine that can save lives— political. That was WRONG, in my belief. She is right, she is NOT a doctor, she should have kept her mouth shut there.
There are the anti-vaccine folk and that’s fine but I have a great respect for vaccines and on that I won’t change.
I just saw her on BOR. She looked and sounded GREAT!
She’s going to hang in there and not leave until her book is released in Nov....
Leaning towards Cain now.
LOL Some split, 37% for Cain and 14% for Perry. Ummm that's not a split and Cain should have been mentioned first since he WON.
2ndDivisionVet: “She has zero executive experience.”
As much as I like her ideology and would like her to play an active role in a future Republican administration, I have to agree. Ideology is vitally important, but it’s not my only requirement. I also want to believe she has the necessary skill set to be the nation’s chief executive. I just don’t see that. Again, I think she’s a great person. I’m just not convinced she’s presidential material. Typically one proves their executive bona fides by actually serving in executive positions prior to running for the most powerful job in the world. She hasn’t done that.
Can you explain to me how the lack of executive experience disqualifies House members but not senators? Sometime we will start reverting to the mean.
No chance. And I dont think she is helping herself in a potential future senator bid either.
I liked the way Michelle Bachmann used the word sovereignty.
Our sovereignty is not just about illegal aliens, it is about growing our government to accommodate them. Nearly half of Californias elementary school aged children are English learners. That equates to hiring twice as many teachers than need be, twice as many schools, twice as many of just about every non-funded government pensioned job.
This foreign invasion is about giving global union bosses more power. More power to tell our government what we can and can not do. Our mayors, City Council, and Governor shouldnt have to consult with some union boss that wasnt elected by the people. Our government should be answerable to the people that elected them.
Our sovereignty is about saying no to the United Nations and their sustainable high-rise government owned communities, high-speed rail and nationalizing land.
Our sovereignty is saying no to the United Nations and their taxing Americans and American businesses for their environmental BS.
Saying no to the United Nations when they ask us to provide air power while they invade Libya.
Our sovereignty is about keeping talent and businesses in America and uninvited foreigners out.
I will say the Liberal Mass Media did a character assassination job on her—the same tactics employed against Sarah Palin, and which they will now turn on Herman Cain, just watch. She is NOT our enemy. I wish her well. If she stays in fine, but if she cannot get traction from a number of remaining debates she might want to rethink but this is entirely her decision.
Good riddance to that flake.
Ms Coffin suggests that when Perry showed his true liberal colors by playing the race card and accusing everyone who disagreed with his coddling illegal aliens “heartless” all the other candidates, except Cain, suffered a loss of popularity.
The quote is a bit tongue in cheek but Bachman IS unfortunately, like Perry-but not unfortunately,a victim of “The Cain Mutiny” against the elite GOP RINO establishment.
Bachmann simply bought the votes in Iowa where its possible to do so. She spent megabucks in Iowa and part of that was buying the ballots to give to people. The Iowa straw poll means nothing for that reason. In Florida that doesnt work and the poll shows more of where she stands.
We don't elect black presidents either.
It's only happened once, in a freak 4-way election. She has zero executive experience.
It has only happened once, in a freak white-guilt election after eight years of the media demonizing Bush and the Republicans. He has zero executive experience. Bachman would be far superior to the present president.
Bachmann is pro-gun, so is Palin.
Cain flunks the gun rights test.
Although Cain says he supports the Second Amendment, in the next breath he says he fully supports any and all state gun control/prohibitions.
That is like supporting federal rights for women and blacks, but allowing women and blacks to be slaves if the state laws permit them to be slaves.
I will not support any candidate who allows, and favors, individual states to outlaw guns, or to take away womens voting rights, or to allow slavery, or to prohibit free speech, etc. .
