Connecticut Republican chairman says Romney could win state

State Republican Party Chairman Jerry Labriola said he’s making the argument to Republican officials at the national convention in Florida that Connecticut could be a possible win for presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

Labriola told The Associated Press Monday that he’s been busy pointing out how President Barack Obama’s popularity in this Democratic-leaning state has waned and Republican U.S. Senate candidate Linda McMahon is running a strong campaign against Democratic Rep. Chris Murphy. That makes it worthwhile, Labriola said, for Romney’s campaign to dedicate some resources in Connecticut, such as a visit from Romney or his running mate Rep. Paul Ryan, TV advertising or staffing....

If the Kenyan loses Ct, he’ll lose DC as well.

1984?

No. Perhaps more like 1976, when Ford won CT in a squeaker. I believe Labriola is the son of a conservative rediatrician who went RINO in later years.

Romney's flavor of RINOism might play OK in CT, though Obama remains popular in Bridgeport, New Haven and Hartford.

The CT Dems have been getting more and more bold about their vote fraud. The last Republican governor who didn't inherit the position was convicted felon John Rowland, who did NOTHING to get these shenanigans under control. His Republican successor, Jody Rell, did less.

Mitt Romney: A Leftist, From Massachusetts, Who Was A Leftist Massachusetts Governor. It wouldn’t surprise me one bit, if neighbor Connecticut wins it for RINO Romney. Vote out the old leftist. Put in a new leftist.

Democrats will vote for Obama two or three times. How many times will you?

In my opinion that’s wishful thinking on Jerry Labriola’s part. It would be nice, but if he takes CT, it will be in another 48 state landslide, and to be honest I really don’t see that happening.

I live in CT and have many friends who now admit, but only in strict confidence, that they will not vote for O again. If Romney wins in our state, it will be ABO, not the challenger... To them, it truly could be anyone just as long as it is someone else. I really think this is true...

Agreed, which is why I doubt so much polling. Even the people I know who are going to vote for Obama are just voting against Republicans. His list of true fans is extremely small.

Jerry Labriola the Elder was elected to a verrry blue collar State Senate seat centered in Naugatuck on the Housatonic River. He understood very well and voted accordingly in favor of conservatism generally and social conservatism in particular. When he sold out to John Rowland (an apostate on social issues), therefore, in exchange for a lieutenant governor nomination when Rowland lost to Weicker (who was elected as an "independent"), Labriola willingly entered the moral monster zone. A pediatrician, he sold out the babies. If it had occurred to Rowland his campaign manager John Mastropietro, Labriola the Elder would have sold out marriage as well. He has disappeared from public consciousness and may be dead for all I know.

Labriola the Younger who is now Connecticut GOP State Chairman (which explains much about Connecticut's sorry state) is not only a disgrace to the GOP but also to the legal profession. Nothing could be as bad as Weicker on both scores but Jerry the Younger is trying. He had no moral dilemma as a necessary part of being the disgrace that he is. He was an ideological liberal whore to begin with. He is no doubt whoring after the election of State Senator Andrew Roraback to the Northwest Connecticut 5th District seat being vacated by Chris Murphy (Demonrat US Senate candidate). Roraback is so bad (Weicker without the arrogance) that he just might surpass Weicker.

ain’t no doubt Roraback and his Litchfield team are worse than Lowell. Why are the pro-lifers confused? Of course it is better if the DEM Esty wins. Then we come back in 2 years. If Roraback wins, we likely are stuck with him for 20 years.

Vote for the 3rd party guy.

Labriola the brother in the state House has a better voting record than many GOPers up there. Pro-family voting record. Yet even the guys who vote with us aren’t really with us. Many supported Roraback in the primary. They are CIVROS. conservatives in voting record only.

The solution for some? Confine myself to about 5 towns and do not venture out. Support beginners who deserve the support. There are many of them ... ignore the other GOP scum.

Don’t your smears get old? Perhaps Connecticut is now conservative for Mitt. Romney is the candidate running the most conservative race since Ronald Reagan. Don’t whine about, research it.

here’s more useful food for thought on what the pro-lifers should do regarding Roraback:
WWTRD? What would the Rinos do?

When Hoffman took the lead in NY-23 and Dede Scozza-f dropped out, she endorsed the DEM and the RINO crowd openly followed along .. RINO towns went for the DEM. Hoffman lost ... Rinos came back with their own candidate in ‘10 and again in ‘12.

So if Greenberg had won, the Rino’s would be openly for Esty just as they were in the primary! The Rino’s had carfuls of Lisa Wilson-Foley signs and the other side of the car had Esty signs. Joint project ... everywhere you saw a Lisa sign, an Esty sign was 4 feet away.

I am not insane enough to believe that a campaign promise erases years and years of actual record.
