Well good. Congrats Pete. I’m glad for this minor victory.
Not much else good happened. There was no national wind like in 2009 although Obamacare helped us in VA somehwhat.
Pizza the Hutt wins a landslide in NJ but no coattails, GOP gains in the legislature were slight. Rats put all their money and attention there. GOP does gain the Mayoralty of Atlantic City.
In VA McPhuckcliff wins by 2 points because of the Liartarian, Bishop Jackson lost in the LT Gov race as expected, only by about 10 points. Republican Obershain narrowly wins the AG race, that is if they don’t manage to steal it. I heard rats gained 2 seats in the House of delegates, could have been worse, GOP still in majority. The tied Senate wasn’t up, with a rat LT Governor they will now have control of that.
Establishment choice Bradley Byrne wins the GOP nomination in the special election for House district 1 in Alabama over the Tea party choice who may have been too “religious right” for voters tastes and foolishly made old school “he was born in Kenya” birtherism an issue, another race bungled by a bad candidate.
A White rat is elected Mayor of Detroit, wow.
As was a forgone conclusion, Bill DeBlasio wins huge to become the first OFFICIAL democrat mayor since Dinkins and one the most dangerously radical people to ever be elected Mayor of a major city. The figure on the NYC board of elections site is 69% as a rat and another 4% on the Working families line. Disgusting. Put a good deal of blame of the face of the city GOP (even though he officially left the party some time ago), Bloomberg. I would presume he even won Staten Island, I can’t find a borough breakdown. Republican Councilman James Oddo elected Staten Island Borough President by a wide margin. I hope we held our 3 or how ever many seats we have left on the council. Suburban counties had elections as well, I haven’t heard if we gained or lose ground there.
Houston’s lesbian rat mayor wins reelection in the primary, no runoff.
Rats pickup Mayoralties in St. Pete Florida, Charlotte, and Greensboro NC. I weep for lost mayoralties, so few cities are governed properly.
Rat Marty Walsh narrowly beats another rat for Boston Mayor.
Former 1 term rat Congresswoman Kathy Dahlkemper wins the post of Erie County Executive (PA) by about 57-43 over the Republican candidate. Former GOP Congressman Todd Platts is elected a York County judge.
Illinois legislature passes queer marriage. Will Pat Quinn sign the bill in lavender ink?
Byrne won in Alabama? What a joke. I’d like to target this turd in 2014.

Do you know if St. Pete, Charlotte and Greensboro currently have GOP Mayors? I thought Charlotte's current mayor is a 'RAT. Not sure about St. Pete or Greensboro...
From your post above, I gathered that all three cities currently have Republican mayors, and that all have flipped to the dark side (democRATs) as of today's elections.
“Pizza the Hutt wins a landslide in NJ but no coattails, GOP gains in the legislature were slight. Rats put all their money and attention there.”
In truth, NJ voters cast more votes for Republican legislative candidates than for the RATs. I counted the votes cast for GOP and RAT candidates for the state senate yesterday (I checked it on AP a few minutes ago, so almost all precincts were in), and GOP candidates received 956,050 votes to only 620,257 for RATs; throw in independents, and GOP state senate candidates got the same 60% statewide as did Christie for governor. Now, one of the RATs ran unopposed (so the votes cast for him weren’t announced), and the RATs didn’t run anyone in a GOP district where an indie ran, but adjusting for that would reduce the GOP statewide margin by maybe 50,000 votes, meaning that Republican state senate candidates would get 58% of the vote adjusting for those two districts. So it seems that Christie did have coattails, although not large enough to overcome the Democrat gerrymanders.
I don't know VA very well, but holding the AG's office, I would guess, should be considered very significant.
It was Cuccinelli who let the state AGs' suit Obamacare that went to the SCOTUS, where Roberts was compromised on his notorious decision. There may be other legal grounds to file state suits against Obamacare in the future, and a 'Rat AG would have eliminated that possibility.
Also, Republican control the AG office could act as a deterrent factor against 'Rat voting fraud and cheating, especially considering the how the dynamics of the 2016 presidential election could be shaping up.
Bill DeBlasio: A rabid BOS RS fan, and NYC still voted 3:1 for him.
“Rat Marty Walsh narrowly beats another rat for Boston Mayor.”
Yep. The Herpes won out over the Syphilis.
Good news in New York state, Republican held four key county executive posts and in only one were the results even close. That includes liberal Westchester County.
Republicans probably won another seat in the state Senate. Mail-in ballots will decide the outcome.
In Virginia, Democrats made virtually no gains in the state legislature.
both candidates of St Pete are friends, but the big issues in St Pete was the Pier and the Tampa Bay Rays (which were bungled by Foster). The Pier is an icon, but the mayor spent taxpayers $$$ on a commission to build a new pier (which was UGLY) and he didn't want the Rays to move to Tampa until a few months ago. (He finally said that the Rays can look at Tampa.)
I think the new mayor of St Pete will not do anything wrong... Tampa's mayor is a Democrat and he is good!
