Are you effing kidding me?! WTH is wrong with everyone to let the school systems interfere in the disciplining of our own children?
To: grundle
Well I am in it deep then.
I had someone call the cops on me because I was making a 10 year old do punishment exercises. The officer asked if I thought what I was doing was wrong. Of course I didn’t otherwise I wouldn’t do it. I pointed out that he had to do punishment exercises in the academy. My reasoning was it was highly unlikely that they would be engaging in illegal activity in the police academy.
I am alway entertained by people who think it is wrong to discipline a child through punishment or force and yet they call on someone to use force and punishment. Ironic.

I would assume the child was well under 14.

He had to walk a whole mile?
The other day I walked from our Boardwalk, over to Natural Bridges and then to Capitola Village.
Total distance? 18 miles
Views and quality of enjoyment - priceless
One mile. Pfffft! !!

There are judges in this country that think they are our lords and masters. They need to be persuaded otherwise.

This moron of a judge is a travesty. The guy should get a lawyer and fight this nonsense. It is over. We are doomed as a nation if this is the norm.

I see a lot of fat kids who could use some long marches. Usually, they have parents who should also be marched long and hard.
But we must tolerate those who have become fat and lazy.

A kid walking is a crime because there are so many pedophiles? Shouldn’t pedophilia be the crime that is punished? Reminds me of the law that used to be on the books in Chicago making it illegal to be a midget or dwarf alone on the street. The reasoning was you might get kidnapped by a circus.

Liberalism IS a mental disease.
The guys life is messed up for more than a year, and possibly his lifetime depending on where he wants to go with it. He has a record of child abuse now. His credibility with his kid is in ruin, and possibly with his family due unforeseen consequences of this judge’s edict.
This liberal judge has imposed her own unsupported perspectives onto this family that will never be undone.
The result of elevating bat dung crazy Leftists to leadership positions in our judicial, or governing entities.

Son of a ****... we, used to walk a mile and a half or thereabouts to school and the same distance back every single day of the school year and the only “punishment” anybody ever spoke of relevant to that was the punishment God was likely to inflict on any kid too candy-assed to do that for whatever reason.

We had to walk 2 miles to catch the school bus each day for weeks one year when the bus drivers went on strike. I think I was in 4th grade.

Oh no! I'm in crazy NY and made my 16 year old daughter walk to school today! We are not even a mile away from the school but they do provide a bus. I told her several times in the last few weeks (when she refused to get up and get ready on time and missed the bus) she'd be walking because I have a schedule to keep too, and walked farther then she does to school. It's a tight nit village community and there are a lot of kids walking at the same time. You would have thought when she got home today I had sentenced her to cruel and unusual punishment! Now you have to worry about the state coming after you?!?! (And this is the same girl that plays sports and got a gym membership for her birthday because she wants to stay in shape!)
