Same with the “bridge to nowhere”. They never mention that it would serve the airport in Ketchikan. The “ferry” from the airport to town carried about 10 vehicles if I recall correctly. It seemed more like a wooden raft with a boat attached than a ferry. And small enough to be very subject to the weather.
Also, Palin axed the bridge project, when she was governor. She never asked for it — it was pork procured by the Senators.
