I am a Vietnam veteran, with 20 years in the Air Force. I don't take kindly to those who lie about their service, to get ahead. On a related note, I can not figure out why some lied about being Vietnam vets. I never wanted to go in the first place, and I couldn't wait to leave Vietnam, but if I had never been there, I wouldn't lie about it, and say I was.
I was less than ideal military material when I was younger so I didn’t serve. Now that I’m older and wish I had I’m not going to lie about it.
