A new poll, this one by Talk Business and Politics/Hendrix College, puts Tom Cottons lead over Mark Pryor at 48-41. The survey included more than 2,000 likely voters and was taken after the last weeks Cotton-Pryor debate (as I understand it, there will be no more debates between the two). The margin of error is plus or minus 2.2 percent.
According to Dr. Jay Barth of Hendrix College, the survey shows that both Cotton and Pryor have locked up the support of their respective Party faithful. However, Cotton has a strong advantage among the states voters who term themselves Independents (although surveys we have completed in the past suggests that most of them now actually see themselves as closer to the Republican Party). Among this crucial group, Cotton leads 59%-28%.
Bolstered by this poll, Cotton now leads Pryor by 5.5 points in the Real Clear Politics average. And RCP has moved the race into the leans Republican category.

I expect by next week we will see some real distance in the polling of Red State candidates.
There’s a reason the communists hijacked conservative blue.
They’re added and abetted by the MSM to hide what they really are. Even the moniker “liberal” was a hijacked term. If there were truth in advertising, they should properly be called “fascists”, since that’s what they stand for; centralized strong government with control over crony capitalist enterprises (e.g. GM).
Toss in conservative talking heads who seem to relish the term and you’ve got the same confusion we saw at the end of last century - liberals became Soviet-style conservatives and those who supported liberty were called conservatives. Go figure. For me, the Devil is on the march and the less history you know the more manipulatable to you are.
If I remember correctly, in the 50's and early 60's, they used blue for the GOP and red for the Dems.
Reversal of tradition is a fundamental leftist technique. Consider attitudes towards the military, gays, family, etc.
