As Senator Ted Cruz (R-Tex) announced last week that he was running for president, his Virginia audience cheered. He dropped applause line after applause line on some 10,000 students at Liberty University, which bills itself as the largest Christian university in the world.
Cruz riffed, unimaginatively, on an imagine theme, asking the young audience to imagine a president who would repeal Obamacare and perform other feats. There was applause throughout. But one line prompted the students to erupt into a roaring, 30-second, standing ovation:
Instead of a president who boycotts Prime Minister Netanyahu, imagine a president who stands unapologetically with the nation of Israel.
It brought down the house.
There can be little doubt. Evangelical Christian voters, a key component of the Republican Party base, are wild about Israel. They are also furious about what they see as President Barack Obamas rough treatment of the current custodian of the Holy Land, Netanyahu. That’s very cool!
Hope and pray Ted Cruz gets the big money from Sheldon Adelson, and soon.....
All pray in one accord for God to bless Ted with Adelson’s money, favore, and ability to get other big donors on Ted Cruz’s campaign wagon.
Indeed, just like, Israel, God Isreal
If Adelson is one of those who wants open borders for his $$$, the Ted should not go for it.
We cannot separate our inner man from Israel at all...even though we realize they are currently quite blinded to who HE is...they will one day recognize Jesus as their Messiah....
Not only this..but we would not have Jesus if it weren’t for the Jews.
Pray for USA. And Israel.
(Thank you so very much, students!)
These good students are SO refreshing!!!! (especially in contrast to the anti-American, anti-Christian, anti-Jewish Democratic National Convention people we saw voting against all of us just a couple years ago ... as they stabbed us in the back with O!)
No Republican is more Israel-friendly than Sarah Palin.
Us "grass roots poor peons" can also make a huge difference. Imagine (unapologetically stolen from Ted) 100 million People donating a mere $10 each. I've given him a $125.00 so far and will donate each quarter (in sync with FR's donation campaigns) with as much as I can afford w/o causing damage. If we really want him to become our President, we can put up now or shut up later.
