Not enough. He waited too late, he supports amnesty. VP, maybe but he’ll have stiff competition.
Reason #7 Grover Nordquist endorsed him!!!! Yes he did...really... Ouch. That’s not good for “Severe” conservative Scott
Trump has spared only 1 candidate from criticism so far...Ted Cruz. I recall Trump saying something bad about Wisconsin. However Trump has focused his attacks mostly on Bush & Rubio.
I seriously always do a search and did not see the duplicate.
Moderators: Fell free to remove this thread...it is duplicate.
Duuuude, pass the bong. I wanna try what you are on!
I know it’s inside baseball talk stuff but I don’t like walker’s hiring certain “conservative hating” establishment advisors, the ones that have a record of doing dirty rotten things to conservative candidates. It gives me pause
The Spectator is one of the most conservative publications if not the most conservative.
Cause he’s related to the Bush clan?
About that number 5, the GOPe candidates need to learn to do that instead of trying to appeal to hillary clinton voters.
Sorry, but I don’t trust the guy.
Call me crazy, but something about him just doesn’t sit right. Smells like GOP-e to me.
The only way third party wins is if something catastrophic occurs to the other two party candidates.
I actually watched his full speech when he announced. He was saying all the right things, but, dang - he just left me uninspired. Like you, I’m not sure I trust him. But, I guess I feel that way about any of them right now.
Paul Ryan ruined Walker’s chance at VP. A GOP VP from Wisconsin was good for 0 electoral votes...
No. Rubio or Kasich have a much better shot at VP.
“Reason #7: If Walker winds up as the winner of the Republican Primary, there is a good chance Trump will not run a Third Party campaign and give the election to Hillary.”
Texas’ Sore Loser law will prevent this from happening. Trump will have to file to run third party in Texas by the 2nd week of Dec 2015 to be on the ballot as an Independent in November, 2016.
If Trump files for the GOP nomination in Dec and loses, he is barred (as a “sore loser”) from disrupting the November election by being on the ballot.
If he waits for the outcome of the GOP Primary to run third party, he won’t be on the November ballot in Texas. So this reason is moot.
So, Trump will have to make this decision before the first ballot is cast in the Primary or he can’t win Texas, and therefore has no pathway to 270.
That's sort of what I'm talking about. There's just something I'm not getting from Walker. Like he's failing to transmit the right signal on the proper frequency for my conservative patriot sensors to pick up.
The thing is, most folks know 'the real deal' when they see it. There's not a lot of cerebral analysis involved. Real leaders simply put the right signal on the right frequency. You 'get it', and thoroughly comprehend their communications at a gut level. Eloquence has little to do with it, though it does help.
With Walker, I find that I'm forced down into the cerebral band to appreciate his message. It takes effort on my part, which doesn't speak well to his ability to reach people's hearts and minds, naturally.
Walker has been able to roll back leftist big government programs despite being attacked with the unions and organized left. He has won every time and made real differences despite continuous attack.
