Staff writer Adam Schrader reports:

Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders sought Sunday during a Dallas visit to calm complaints about his response, at a progressive activists gathering this weekend, to concerns about police brutality.

“We want a nation where a young black man or woman can walk down the street without worrying about being falsely arrested, beaten or killed,” Sanders told more than 8,000 people who packed a Sheraton Hotel ballroom to hear him.

Sanders, an independent senator from Vermont, has been drawing huge crowds in his long-shot bid for the Democratic presidential nomination. Though he’s unlikely to wrest the nomination from Hillary Clinton, liberal voters concerned about issues such as income inequality and the power of big banks have responded with enthusiasm to the self-described socialist.

But on Saturday, Sanders and former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley, got a less-than-friendly reception at Netroots Nation. Attendees chanting “black lives matter” interrupted the pair, and Sanders at one point threatened to leave....

Are you sure that’s not satire? “Blacks can’t walk down the street without being attacked??????? Laughable.

Bernie doesn't like the Negro voter crowds, so he threatens to leave?

Sounds like he needs some Liberal re-education. Oh wait, he's Communist already.

The media are the enemy. The "crowd" at the locale was likely not even 800. They try to hype the numbers for communists. The lying Dallas Morning News is directly controlled by mooselimbs and abortionists. That's why they push an anti-America agenda.

The Dallas Morning News doesn’t report/publish anything that might make a liberal look bad. Not one word about Hillary and BO knowing about the Benghazi attacks 10 days before it happened. Scant info on the Hillary email scandal. No wonder newspapers are dying out. Thank goodness there is the internet to get the news.

These guys are really clueless. I’ll give you the name of one street you can walk down in every big city across the nation; just one - Martin Luther King Blvd. what you are going to find Mr Sanders are black people that walk up and down or drive those streets everyday and the only people bothering them are their own kind. BUT if you want to test the theory and think I’m wrong, Bernie, take a nice ride down there and fill your wallet up and you’ll find out why the cops have to be the way they are the hard way. Those poor people aren’t minding their own business; they’re looking for trouble. Politicians like Bernie Sanders are either completely clueless or are pathological liars. Or both. Inthink he’s the latter.

Younger people may not recall that there actually was a time, some 50 years ago, when the Morning News was pro-American and mostly Conservative and Christian. The leftist paper was the Times-Herald. Ted Dealey, the publisher in the 40s, 50s and 60s, was a Patriot who opposed JFK, social justice, Big Labor and all forms of leftism. Dealey was a strong supporter of Senator Joe McCarthy. He'd be appalled at what his one great paper has become under its mooselimb, abortionist "leadership".
