At a party this year I got into it with an observant Jew about Islam. I said Islam is the problem and he replied no, that is being bigoted. He then said: Jews are a resilient people and “we’re strong enough to absorb a few hits.” There is no reasoning with some people.
We’ve gone from “Never again !” to “Hit me, baby, one more time !” in mere decades.
This is a world-think problem, and it is not unlike those attitude problems that got them into serious trouble in the bible, over and over and over.
God is not going to let the Jewish line of people go away. He promised that, ironclad. The Jewish people as a whole is “going nowhere.”
However they can be in for lots and lots of chastisement as they keep bumping against the walls of the hallway to destiny. Some day they are going to find out they were being saved (in some sense, I am not getting into eternal issues here) whether they liked it or not.
Open borders for Muslims etc, and gun control for Americans. Sounds like a plan for those who are afflicted with dementia about the Holocaust.

It has always baffled me. There are certainly plenty of Jewish conservatives (We have many on FR) but the large proportion of them that are extremely liberal and vote the party line really throw me for a loop.

I simply do not understand it, and never have. And in the case of this President, who is steeped in Black Liberation Theology, and chummy with the likes of Farrakhan and Jeremiah Wright, it is downright perplexing.
