Cruz: 2012 Disclosure Should Have Noted Goldman Sachs Loan
The Texas Tribune ^ | 1/13/16 | Patrick Svitek

DORCHESTER, S.C. - Responding to a report that said he did not disclose a loan from his wife's employer during his 2012 U.S. Senate campaign, Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz called the issue a "technical and inadvertent filing error" that he will fix if necessary.

I’m not all that against Cruz, just his obnoxious supporters here. They get so defensive - and are incredibly rude to us - that I like to mess with them.

And I'm not all that against Trump. I'd vote for him if he's the candidate. But obnoxious supporters get so defensive and incredibly rude to us Cruz supporters...

It goes both ways, CB.

Personally, I suspect we have JEB! supporters...or Rubio's...or Kasich's...trying to set us against each other. Some of them, anyway, are going to be "false flag" operaters. For that reason, I don't even like messin' with them...it's a waste of time.

What sort of special deal do you think he got here? Pretty much none as a loan against one’s life savings (in a brokerage account) is more or less automatic and even the NYTimes concluded that there was no special deal there.

His wife does work for them (not a crime so far as I know), and almost certainly has to keep her accounts with them from a compliance perspective.

Further the loan was publicly disclosed during his senate race (shown in the link below), but not put on another form. Oh, and how did the NYTimes find this huge “secret”? By looking at his public disclosure forms... yeah, real scandal there.

Finally the loan was against their brokerage account (essentially risking 1/3 their life savings) in order to run as an underdog in a senate race because he thought it was the right thing to do.

I admire the way Cruz outed the senate GOPe tricksters, and we owe him a debt of gratitude for that. But he doesn't have the balls Trump has, possibly due to the debt owed his financiers.

When Cruz outed the Senate leadership, he outed the big "financiers". You don't think Goldman-Sachs -- or any of the big donors expecting favors -- wants him peeing in their rice bowl, do you?

Cruz' huevos are every bit as big as Trump's.

You know what NCAlburt? I sure hope you make it to a Cruz rally and get a chance to actually speak with the man. I figure Ted will handle you just like he did with those bozos that rushed up on the stage the other day. He’ll give you a pat on the back and in the most calm way possible ask “Sir, are you confused?”.

You’ve pulled this DC Establishment Troll bullcrap one too many times. NCAlburt is the guy that accused Cripplecreek awhile back of photoshopping a Trump Twitter quote about the meeting Trump had with DReamers a few years ago where he said “you convinced me”.

Honestly, I don’t know how you’ve managed to last as long as you have. You must drop a lot of cash down. But for as long as I’ve been reading posts this campaign, I have yet to see one single intelligent comment come out of your screen handle.

Since day 1 you’ve been pushing the Cruz birther crap and accusing anyone that doesn’t subscribe to birtherism as a DU Troll. Then you distorted Cruz’s votes/positions like on TPA and the Corker Bill. And most recently, you’ve been spewing class warefare and trying to tie Cruz as some kind of NWO globalist beholden to big donors, when the truth is the bulk of his contributions come from regular people, people like me. Your posts in this thread look more like Bernie Sanders or Liz Warren positions than anything resembling conservatism.

I’ve been a Cruz supporter since the beginning and will continue do so because I was blessed with a brain and the ability to reason and use logic and make rationale decisions, and that has led me to believe that Ted Cruz is the best person to serve as the 45th POTUS.

Yeah that was another one... And before that, “wall” was interchangeable in his speeches with “fence.”

Canadian Texas Senator Ted Cruz failed to disclose loan from Goldman Sachs for Senate campaign bid. Will he be jailed in Texas or Canada ?

He has dropped the mask, now.
When he was running for the Senate, that mask was tightly glued on.

Yep. Unbelievably arrogant even for a Ha-vard lawyer. Cruz was telling the people of Texas he was emptying his piggy bank to fund his grass roots campaign while in reality he was getting a million bucks or whatever from Government Sachs. The Cruz “Principled Conservative” Potemkin campaign is sunk when this news hits.

Remember, back then there was no TRUMP, no real threat to the GOPe. The big "financiers" had no real threat. Cruz could play fake insurgent as so many despicable GOPe fakes had before him. No pee in the bowl at all.

Nice lie. It was a loan from his and his wife’s account with interest. Such loans are pretty much automatic as they are based on the value they had in the account. If they don’t repay, the bank takes the account. So they were funding themselves by risking their own life savings on a race where Ted was the underdog and not expected to win.

They are hopeless but the rest of the country is not. We all know how they are: Trump all good all the time never mind facts. And a few make bombastic attacks against Cruz with no facts in sight.
We will learn a lot tomorrow night. As the MSM has been pointing out, Trump is quiet at debates. That is because he has little knowledge in basic civics must less world affairs or economics.
The truth with a smile.
