DORCHESTER, S.C. - Responding to a report that said he did not disclose a loan from his wife's employer during his 2012 U.S. Senate campaign, Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz called the issue a "technical and inadvertent filing error" that he will fix if necessary.

Hide it? He didn't think he had to report writing a check from his brokerage account. Do you report to the world that you used your credit card? From the NYT article:
A spokeswoman for Mr. Cruz’s presidential campaign, Catherine Frazier, acknowledged that the loan from Goldman Sachs, drawn against the value of the Cruzes’ brokerage account, was a source of money for the Senate race.
I've taken out plenty of margin loans from my brokerage account, which charges far lower rates than Goldman Sachs. All I need to do is write a check to myself. No credit decision or lending officer involved. I just need enough equity in the account.
So because Levin ranted and raved about it, and because the "NY Slimes" covered it, that makes it untrue?
Does Mark realize that Cruz admitted it was true? Does Mark not realize what Goldman Sachs is, and what it does? Does Mark not realize that GS was Obama's #1 donor in 2008? Does Mark not realize how the Heidi Cruz-Goldman link stinks to high heaven?

The loan is not the issue. But Ted and Heidi knew damn well they were supposed to disclose it and they didnt just overlook it. It doesnt look good for a candidate who claims to be an outsider funding his campaigns with insider money. And Levin is a Cruz hack. Who cares what he says about anything?
This stuff needs to be vetted now or the Dems will have a field day with it.
