Free Republic Straw Poll (February 2016 edition)
Free Republic | February 1, 2016 | 2ndDivisionVet

Posted on 01/31/2016 10:22:08 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

If you had to vote in your state primary/caucus today, knowing what you know now about the various declared and probable candidates, who would you vote for? Why? Who would you like to see as the running mate for your preferred candidate? If you could help staff your candidates cabinet and other top appointments, who would you choose? If you could recommend different congressional leaders than we have now, who would they be? And who would you like to see on the Supreme Court and why? And finally, feel free to donate to Free Republic.

She would be a great choice, but I have a feeling she wouldn’t be interested. I think she got a bellyful of politics under GWB.

Cruz and Fiorina.
Cruz seems most consistent. Not afraid to try to use power of purse.

Rest of repub field can go into cabinet.

No idea about SC.

Trump

Santorum for VP

I could also support this choice for VP. I’m not saying Santorum attended Trump’s Wounded Warriors event on debate night for this purpose (I’m sure he really does care about our vets), but it certainly didn’t hurt anything for him to be aligned with Trump.

TRUMP

I'd like Sessions as VP, but can't imagine how the sewer AKA US Senate gets cleaned out if he isn't there. So I'll say:

Sessions for Senate leadership role

Santorum for VP

Palin for Secretary of Interior

Rubio for AG

Huck for Press Secretary

Dr. Carson for Surgeon General

President: Trump - He isn’t the same old politicians we get every cycle.

VP: Undecided (Sessions??) or maybe another outsider.

Cabinet:
Palin - Interior
Icahn - Treasury
Carson - Surgeon General

Congress:
Sessions - Majority Leader (if not VP)

Supreme Court:
Cruz - Conservative Constitutional Background
Levin - Conservative Constitutional Background (I’m sure this will get some good responses)

When a person focuses on a candidate’s sex life to the point of advertising it with multiple posts, you have to wonder if they’re just jealous he didn’t look their way.
