Many years ago, Sam Slom was Hawaii State Chairman of Young Americans for Freedom. He seems to have gotten even better and better with the passing years.

I recall his appearance at the 1977 YAF national conference at the Statler Hilton Hotel in New York City. He began his presentation by shouting, "aloha!" and the enthusiastic crowd responded by chanting, "play it again, Sam!"

IIRC, I did not make that convention. I met Sam when I ran YAF’s 10th Anniversary Conference in Hartford/West Hartford and Sharon in 1970. I was amazed that he and others came all the way from Hawaii. Great guy. Great Conference too. It lasted most of a week.
